Interior

So you’ve done the outside and now you’re ready to do the inside. After you’ve vacuumed, use GP22 to clean all your hard surfaces. If it’s just a light clean you need, simply spray on to a cloth and wipe everywhere, remember the air vents, gear stick, steering wheel and foot pedals, you can even use GP22 for the door shuts (I lost my first valeting job many years ago for not cleaning these properly, now they’re a bit of a necessity for me). If it’s dirtier, like the pictures of the Transit in the blog, spray directly on to the surface and agitate as required, it’s amazing what it will remove, you can even use it on your paint to remove flies.

If you’re looking for leather care, you can’t go wrong with Mardy Cow leather cleaner, spray onto a cloth or brush and agitate the surface until you see the dirt lift, love that fragrance too. Don’t be tempted to rub the surface with a cloth or you may remove the top coat and you’ll ruin your seats or dash, gently gently is the key with leather, it’s fine to wipe the surface though as a general cleaner. Once cleaned, give it a wipe with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
Once dry, don’t forget to give it a coat of Cowhide to help stop the top surface cracking, you won’t feed it as its surface is sealed, but you will protect from UV and dirt if it’s coated, really important in a convertible and you should do this 3 or 4 times a year.
